This coffee shop is right on the water. I found street parking on Saturday at 7:30am a block away. The coffee shop is at the end of a pier where there is a lot of fishing. The place feels a bit run down and cluttered although I'm sure it's a staple for the local area. There are 2 - two person tables and the rest is bar seating with a view of the ocean. The bathrooms are outside around the building, not the cleanest but they get the job done. Ha! I would definitely come back for a coffee, bagel and a walk along the water. It's close quarters inside so if you're a party over 4 peeps head outside and enjoy the pier. Most customers are coming in ordering and leaving.

When we visited here this weekend they were taking orders inside and then grilling the food outside on the sidewalk. Kinda cool and it provided for some great cheap food while on the beach.
It has public restrooms which look like something out of 'The Shawshank Redemption'. -

I would have to say that this little place is in the best location possible but one question is bothering me why can't they remodel or rebuild that little restaurant that is located right in the beginning of the pier to make a better place. Honestly if this place would be remodeled or rebuilder to a restaurant, they would have tremendous amount of customers. Anyways the only thing that I have ever got here is the coffee because when you at the pier you just want to have your coffee and enjoy the view. I have been on that pier dozen of times and I have never missed a chance to go to this little place for some donuts and coffee. If you are worrying about the parking, I would not because there is plenty of it along the beach and it's pretty safe. I really love this place. Every time I go to San Francisco to get someone from the airport I always drive out early to get to the Pacifica chit chat cafe to just enjoy the view, coffee and that fresh breeze that comes from the restaurant. I haven't found a Starbucks near but I would highly suggest for you to visit this place.
They also cell bait for fishing. -

Accidentally found this place as a pit stop on our drive down to Big Sur. It's right against the water and a great place to grab a coffee (I got their housemade pumpkin spice) and watch the strong Pacifica waves crash against the rocks. Gooooo here!!

Plus 1 to Dario's review. Chit Chat Cafe is the mini-version of Pacifica. Here you'll find the old, friendly folks that live in the small beach enclave their whole life, sipping their morning coffee and chatting away. You'll get the friendly and chill vibe right when you walk in - and you better forget about your polished, hipster third-wave coffee shop experiences you might have. This is a cozy coffee and food shop, sitting at Pacific Pier, a little run-down looking, unpolished.
Pastries, a good coffee selection, and hot food for lunch. What do you need more after/before a stroll along the Pacifica pier or the beach.
